As assistant professor take part in all departmental activity as

·         UG teaching : take classes ,demonstration

·         PG teaching : take part in clinical discussion, seminar ,journal club ,micro teaching , helping in thesis work

·         Premedical teaching :In charge of teaching of one paramedical ba intertch (MLT 3rd year ), responsible for making monthly curriculum ,supervising their personal development (learning , sample processing ,and fitting into work culture of a laboratory )

·         Conducting examination : of UG,PG , paramedical (both university and semesters )

·         Conducting paramedical examination as external examiner to various paramedical courses present in Uttarakhand.

·         Taking part many on going  Research activity like –thesis co supervisor (both departmental and extra departmental ) 

As I/C reference lab section (Microbiology) :

·         Routine reporting

·         Active part in planning and implementing renovation of  bacteriology Laboratory

·         Implemented new tests for bacterial drug resistance like MRSA,ESBL detection  ,New antibiotic regimen ,sputum quality scoring etc in the reporting section which benefited the patients

·         Took active part in introducing new culture techniques like BACTEC culture for Blood and CSF

·         Responsible supervision of Bacterial stock maintenance, ordering and stock maintenance reference laboratory.

·         Supervision and maintenance of all the machinery present in reference laboratory and their maintenance

 

 

 

As Technical manager of bacteriology Section for ISO accreditation:

 

·         Making SOPs

·         Training the technicians with SOP as per ISO norms

·         Maintaining Quality control of all tests (antibiotic disc, ATCC strain, instruments, routine stain, test validation etc.

 

DETAILS OF EXPERIENCE IN MICROBIOLOGY: 

·         Three years resident microbiologist in the department of Microbiology Assam Medical College.(From September,2003 to December -2006)

·         Two months of senior resident in University college of Medical Sciences ,New Delhi.(April ,2007 to June 2007)

·         Assistant professor in department of Microbiology in Himalayan institute of Medical Sciences, HIHT university, Dehradun from June -2007 till date.

Teaching & other Academic Experiences:

·         Teaching, syllabus creation, conduction of examination, Question setting evaluation of various –medical and paramedical courses of HIHT till date.
